KOKODAB -B B TheB Kokoda TrackB orB Trail is a single-file foot thoroughfare that runs 96 kmsB overland b (60 kmsB in a straight line) b through the Owen Stanley RangeB inB Papua New Guinea. The track was the location of the 1942 World War II battle betweenB JapaneseB andB AlliedB b primarily Australian b forces in what was then the Australian territory ofB Papua.

The track runs from Owers’ Corner in Central Province, 50 km east of Port Moresby, across rugged and isolated terrain which is only passable on foot, to the village of Kokoda in Oro Province. It reaches a height of 2,490 metresB as it passes around the peak of Mount Bellamy. The track travels primarily through the land of the Mountain Koiari people. Hot, humid days with intensely cold nights, torrential rainfall and the risk of endemicB tropical diseasesB such asB malariaB make it a challenging trek. Hiking the trail normally takes between four and twelve days; the fastest recorded time is 16 hours 34 minutes.

This plate has no embossed characters but has a pressed out embossed border

These novelty number B plates are made from high quality aluminium and the artwork applied by a dye sublimation process with a lovely gloss finish. They measure 37 x 13 cm, exactly the same as the traditional fully embossed type of plate and look just like our other Aussie made novelty number plates; even the mounting holes are in exactly the same positions, so they can easily be hung on display indoors or outdoors.

Each plate is sealed in a clear plastic sleeve, and for protection during delivery we use extra packing materials to ensure they arrive in tip-top condition
